 [SPOILER ALERT]

This week I was lucky enough to spend my Monday night reliving my youth, “Busted jumping” the night away at McBusted’s Most Excellent Adventure Tour, or MEAT as it has affectionately been nicknamed.

For a child of the 80s (well, just about!) the show was an amazing blast from the past featuring; a pre-show teaser showcase of classic 80s movie trailers; a gigantic game of Street Fighter (Sega Megadrive style) between the boys; a hillarious Mighty Ducks spoof movie scene and yet another appearance for the Delorean.

'One For the Radio'

The set list featured an equal number of hits from McFly, Busted and McBusted including songs from the new self-titled McBusted album.

'Riding on My Bike'
Personally, I am not the biggest fan of ‘Riding on My Bike’, I would rather have seen the boys perform ’23:59’ or ‘Before You Knew Me’. However, that being said, I did enjoy the performance which saw MarioKart style graphics coupled with crazy dance moves and vocals from Matt and a paperboy style T-shirt delivery from James.

'Crash and Burn'
Since their last Tour in 2014, McBusted have released their self titled album and, naturally, this means we didn’t get to hear as many old classics and album tracks as last time. Old favourites like Nerdy, Britney and Room on The Third Floor were sorely missed but the song choices were fantastic overall.

'Stargirl'
The choice of McFly songs was spot on, as always. And, for me, one of the highlights of the show was the band's performance of 3AM, which wasn't included last time round in the 2014 tour. This has always been one of my favourite songs and I feel it really showcased the band's vocal talent.

'Shine A Light'
The energy throughout the show was fantastic; there was a great deal of running, jumping, moonwalking, pyrotechnics, flames and confetti. The stage chat from the band did seem a little limited and ater calling out "Hello Glasgow" poor Dougie received a few boo's from the crowd, but I'm sure it was all in good spirits. Overall,  I felt that it didn't detract from the show - as there was a lot of content, there may have been little time for this and the videos in between songs certainly added a little comedic value to the show making up for the lack of interaction with the band.

'What Happened to Your Band'
McBusted have already toured at Glasgow, Newcastle and Leeds but will continue their tour on the 21st at Manchester and will later go on to visit Sheffield, Birmingham, Liverpool, London, Brighton, Cardiff, Bournemouth, Nottingham, Dublin and Belfast throughout March and April. They also recently announced a date in Northhampton later on in the year.

'Air Hostess'

Honestly, I wish I could go back and relive that night. It was incredible.

Were you at any of the Glasgow, Leeds or Newcastle shows? What was your favourite moment? Leave a message in the comments telling me about it!

Love Sarah
